Something that has sparked my interest in the last few years is the Adobe Suite. I’ve spent some time learning from Lynda.com and other You tube tutorials how to use Photoshop and Illustrator. I dabbled a little with Dream Weaver, but because I’m never going to be a web designer I decided to leave that to the professionals
One of the things I have been enjoying about Illustrator is making my own planners and binders (I tried using InDesign, but I prefer Illustrator). The most recent binder I have created is a notebook to take notes in when I watch General Conference in a couple of weeks. If you are unfamiliar with the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, you can go here for more information. General Conference is held twice a year and we get to listen to some wonderful talks from our Prophet and other leaders – so I like to take notes.
In my notebook I have started with a page to prepare by writing down questions I have that I would like answered, and a page for announcements made.
Then I divided it into sections for each session of Conference – Saturday Morning and afternoon, Women’s session and Sunday Morning and Afternoon
In each section I have a page for each speaker, with room for extra notes and a page to doodle my favourite quotes.
At the back I have made a page for action items.
And then a quote from our prophet, President Nelson on the back cover
Very simple, but a neat and pretty place to keep my thoughts from conference. I will bind it up with a clear plastic sheet front and back for protection.
If this is something you would like to print and use for yourself, please go ahead and use this pdf. I have used free images and fonts that I have a full licence for. Please be kind and direct others back to my page if you would like to share.
