So, one of the reasons I have had less time for crafting and blogging is that I volunteered to take on the role of Secretary for our school P&C. It has been a wonderful learning experience, and kept me quite busy for the last 3 months. I’m hoping that the next 6 months won’t be quite as full on, as I think I’m getting a handle on it now
Anyway, earlier in the year with our local and state elections our school had the opportunity to hold a fundraising BBQ and Cake stall. I took a few piccies on the day of our little cake stall…
Our tables were set up in a U shape. This is my lovely sister who was one of the many volunteers on the day to help run the stall.
The other side
The school has an environmental club and one of the things they grow is lovely fresh herbs. We were able to have some of these delicious herbs for sale at the stall.
These are the mini banana breads I made. I had fun stamping the little cards and packaging the cakes. On the back of the monkey card are the ingredients for the bread.
I also decided to try my hand at cake pops! What an adventure! So simple to make and I think they looked pretty good – they sold out pretty quick!
All in all the day was a great success. We were all but sold out by about 2pm. Thanks to all the wonderful parents who contributed the delicious baked goodies to be sold, and all the helpers on the day.
Have you run a cake stall? Do you have one coming up in the future? I’d love to hear about it.
Thanks for stopping in today.
Happy Crafting
